The Institute trains highly qualified scientific personnel through doctoral and post-graduate studies.

In the doctoral studies training is carried out in the specialties 05.16.01 "Metallurgy and heat treatment of metals", 05.16.02 "Metallurgy of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and special alloys" and 05.16.04 "Foundry production" in the field of knowledge "Mechanical engineering".

The post-graduate course prepares candidates for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education in specialty 136 - Metallurgy.
